The George Washington & Jefferson National Forests offer over 1.8 million acres of Appalachian forests for recreation in Virginia, West Virginia, and Kentucky. The forests provide a wide range of recreational opportunities, including hiking, biking, horse riding, and camping, as well as hunting, fishing, and shooting. Among the facilities, the Bath County Shooting Range offers both 50 yard and 100 yard rifle and handgun shooting ranges.
