Board public works Rifle Range

The Board of Public Works in Cherokee County offers several recreational facilities, including a newly renovated gun range, as part of its community investment. The gun range features pistol, rifle, and skeet shooting areas and is open to Cherokee County residents only. The lake, named after Zeb Whelchel who is credited for its creation, serves as the primary water source and a popular recreation spot.
