The Ridgway Rifle Club, established in 1927 and renamed in 1935, is located near Ridgway, Pennsylvania, adjacent to the Allegheny National Forest. Initially founded as a rifle and pistol club, it has a rich history of adapting and expanding its facilities and activities. The club transitioned from its original location due to local complaints, leading to the acquisition of its current property through a trade. Over the years, it has seen significant developments, including the construction of outdoor and indoor ranges, and has become known for its silhouette shooting, establishing the first Silhouette range east of the Mississippi. The club hosted its first National Championship for high power rifle silhouette in 1986, following extensive range expansions and efforts by club members.
