Lake County Rod & Gun Club, incorporated on April 29, 1949, in Fairport Harbor, now owns over 300 acres in Madison Township on the south shore of the Wild and Scenic Grand River. The club maintains its property in a rustic manner, offering secluded recreational opportunities for members and a limited number of guests. It aims to serve its members with a members-only section and provide information to potential new members and those seeking outdoor educational opportunities, especially youths. The club also sponsors a limited number of public shooting events.
Membership open to U.S. citizens and Ohio residents over 18 who can hold an Ohio hunting or fishing license, with membership approval. Two current member sponsors required. No chokes smaller than .650, no barrels over 36 inches, no homemade barrels, no scopes, no reloads for Lucky Shoots. .22 cal. rifle for Summer Lucky Shoots, no scope, no laser allowed.
