Sportsmen's Shooting Center, originally known as the Canton Rod and Gun Club, was established in 1950. Located on 109 acres, it features seven skeet fields, three of which are overlaid with trap fields, two 5-stand fields, and a sporting clays course with 8-10 stations. The club, which is open to the public and offers memberships for additional benefits, provides a lounge area, kitchen, restrooms, both outdoor and indoor seating, and a club store selling shotgun shells, safety glasses, and ear protection.
New members must participate in New Member Orientation, which includes a history of the club, a safety overview, and instructions on how to open the skeet/trap houses. Watching safety videos and reading safety rules is a requirement for membership.
