The Butterfield Trail Shooting Range is a public facility managed by the Las Cruces Parks and Recreation Department. It operates seven days a week from sunrise to sunset, except on Thursdays when it closes at 3pm for maintenance. The range is unmanned, requiring shooters to bring their own targets and clean up after themselves. It offers a space for shotgun, trap, and skeet shooting through the Mesilla Valley Shotgun Shooters.
No glass or appliances for targets; shooters must clean up, including removing shotgun hulls. Closed Thursdays until 3pm for maintenance.
