The Catawba Valley Wildlife Club, founded on March 8th, 1939 as the Catawba County Rod and Gun Club, is one of North Carolina's oldest, largest, and most active wildlife clubs. Located on 180-plus acres by the Jacob's Fork River, it features a 5,000 square-foot clubhouse, various ranges, canoe access, camping opportunities, and miles of trails. Initially created for wildlife management, land and water conservation, and as a forum for local sportsmen, it has grown to support a wide range of community and conservation efforts.
Minimum of three work days per year required for members, with penalties for non-completion. New members must complete 4 workdays in their first year. Attendance at three monthly meetings or work days before application. Valid NC Hunter Safety certificate or NC Permit to Carry license required for application.
