White Ranch Conservation Area, located in Howell County approximately 11 miles south of West Plains, was previously owned by Harry White and spans 6,703 acres, mostly forested. It is known for its abundant wildlife populations, including deer and turkey, and offers fishing along the South Fork of the Spring River and an impoundment on Trail #4. A shooting range is available near the end of Trail #6, featuring facilities for rifle and shotgun shooting.
Shooting hours are from one-half hour before sunrise to one-half hour after sunset. Alcoholic beverages are prohibited on ranges. Groups of more than 10 people require a special use permit.
