Boot Hill Shooting Ground LLC, established in the late 1990s by Gary Brown and his sons, was created to offer local shooters a place for practice and community. Initially serving as a venue for both 5 stand and Sporting Clays, it also provided a space for 4H kids to improve their shooting skills under Coach Randy Pickering. Despite closing to the public around 2008, it continued to support 4H activities. Randy Pickering reopened the club for public access on Thursday nights and weekends by appointment about three years prior to 2013. The club, which began throwing NSCA registered targets again in 2013, has expanded its events and moved to a new location in 2016, continuing to support veterans through fundraising events.
