Oak Hill Gun Club, established in the late 1960s and becoming a non-profit in 1970, began in a farmer's field south of Portland, MI. After merging with Westphalia Gun Club in 1981, it moved to its current 40-acre site, growing from one trap field and about 70 members to over 260 members. The club, emphasizing family memberships, features a clubhouse, 4 trap fields, a "5 stand" field with 8 traps, 12 pistol bays, and a 300 yd rifle range. It supports the Portland Highschool and St Pats Trap Teams and hosts events with ATA, USPSA, ICORE, and Steel Challenge.
All members must complete a safety orientation. The club is open to the public for Trap Fields on specific days and times.
