The Bethesda-Chevy Chase Chapter of the IWLA, established in 1935, has grown from an initial membership of 15 to over 1000, making it one of the largest and most active chapters of the IWLA. The chapter acquired a 365-acre farm in Poolesville, Maryland, in 1949, which has expanded to 623 acres over the years. This property, known as the Conservation Farm, supports a variety of wildlife and habitats and is used for conservation efforts, education, and outdoor activities.
