The Massachusetts Rifle Association (MRA), founded on November 4, 1875, is recognized as America's oldest active gun club. It has been a hub for pioneers and innovators in shooting sports, including notable members like Harry M. Pope, E.E. Partridge, and Corbin Gould. Initially starting with thirty members, the MRA has grown to over 1,000 members, promoting safety, education, and the enjoyment of shooting sports. The club offers a range of facilities, including indoor and outdoor ranges, and has a strong focus on community and education, with programs for new shooters, juniors, and competitive teams.
New member orientation schedule for 2025 is full, and applications for membership will not be accepted until November 2025 for the 2026 schedule.
