The Five Points Conservation Club (FPCC), located in Franklin Township, Marion County, Indianapolis, has a rich history dating back to 1948 when it was first used for a turkey shoot on land too swampy for farming. Officially established in 1954 after purchasing the land from the Rohde family, the club has evolved from its early days of hosting turkey shoots and local events to becoming a dedicated space for shotgun sports. The clubhouse, built in 1960 and expanded in the 1970s, has been a central part of the community, serving various purposes including meetings, dances, and even as a polling location. Today, FPCC continues its legacy with regular trap shooting events from April through November, turkey shoots, and a youth team, The Fireballs, that competes in local and state trap shoots.
Trap shooting requires #7.5 or #8 shot shells, less than 1300fps, up to 12 Gauge. Stillboard shooting provides shells, allows 12, 16, 20, and .410 gauges, and requires the shotgun barrel to be less than 36" long. No 10 Gauge shells for trap shooting.
