The Griffith Chapter of the Izaak Walton League of America, founded in 1947, is one of the largest in the state with over 500 members. It is dedicated to conserving natural resources in the U.S. and offers educational opportunities regarding their enjoyment and utilization. The chapter boasts over 50 acres of land featuring 3 fishing lakes, a 50 yard target range, trap field with 3 trap houses, an archery range, picnic area, and primitive camping. The clubhouse and pavilion are available for rentals for non-club events.
The range is open to members from 10:00 AM till sundown Monday through Saturday, and Noon till sundown on Sundays and Holidays. Informal Competition Shoots are held monthly from March through December.
