The Glastonbury Public Shooting Range, operational since 1980, is located in the Meshomasic State Forest in Glastonbury, Connecticut. It opens weekends from April 5 through November 30, 2025, excluding Easter weekend. The range benefits from federal funding through the Pittman-Robertson Act for improvements, equipment, and staffing. It offers a safe environment for shooting practice with specific rules for firearm handling and storage.
Firearms must be empty of ammunition, with magazines removed, and stored in a gun case. Compliance is checked by Range Safety Officers. Reservations are required and must be made online. Proof of firearms training is required. A maximum of three shooters per bench is allowed.
