The Basalt Shooting Range, operated by the Roaring Fork Valley Sportsmans Association (RFVSA), is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization offering Skeet, Trap, and Five Stand shotgun shooting to the public on Saturdays and Sundays. Originally the Basalt Public Library, the donated clubhouse now serves as the heart of the range. Located just above Basalt, adjacent to the Basalt Public Shooting Range, it promotes shooting sports and safe gun handling for all ages.
All shooters must follow the Code of Conduct and safety rules, including wearing ear and eye protection, keeping actions open and unloaded unless shooting, and not using alcohol or drugs on the premises.
