The San Bernardino National Forest, established in the late 1800s, is recognized as a premier destination for outdoor recreation. It offers a wide range of activities across its vast landscapes, including hundreds of miles of hiking trails, designated wilderness areas, campgrounds, winter resorts, wild rivers, and the tallest mountains in Southern California. It's also noted for being one of the best destinations for off-highway vehicle riding.
Visitors can only target shoot in designated and signed areas and only at certain times due to fire danger rating. Target Shooting areas may be closed depending on conditions.
