The Three Points Public Shooting Range, operated by the Tucson Rifle Club (TRC) since its dedication in 1969, is located about 25 miles west of downtown Tucson, Arizona. TRC, one of the oldest shooting clubs in Arizona, was first organized in 1896 and chartered by the National Rifle Association in 1919. The range was established through the efforts of then TRC President Milt Hood and is operated through a lease agreement with the Arizona Game & Fish Department. Initially, the range featured facilities for Smallbore, High Power, Black Powder, Sight-in, and Silhouette shooting.
Range may close during extreme hot weather, for emergency repairs, or due to scheduled matches. Last shots by 4:30 p.m. Summer hours adjust for extreme heat with no new shooters after 12:30 p.m. and all shooting to stop by 1:30 p.m.
