The Upper Delta WMA Shooting Range, part of the Outdoor Alabama initiative, offers shooting opportunities for distances up to 100 yards. Unique for its requirement that firearms' barrels be inserted into a steel tube before discharging, the facility aims to enhance safety and precision. The range includes a concrete pad for shotgun users to shoot at clay targets and is wheelchair accessible, featuring a concrete walkway for downrange access to target lines. It's located approximately 9 miles north of Stockton, AL.
Firearms must be fired from designated stations into the embankment at stationary targets. Shotguns with no. 4 shot or smaller for clay targets only. No firing while anyone is downrange. Firearms unloaded and muzzles pointed downrange when not firing. No armor-piercing or tracer ammunition. No alcoholic beverages.
