The Etowah Public Shooting Range, operated by the Alabama Division of Wildlife and Freshwater Fisheries in cooperation with the Etowah County Sheriff's Office, offers shooting opportunities at distances up to 200 yards. It features four ranges (25, 50, 100, and 200 yards) with a dividing berm for independent downrange access, a concrete pad for shooting shotguns at clay targets, and is wheelchair accessible. The range periodically closes for cleaning and maintenance.
No alcoholic beverages; legal firearms and ammunition only, except armor-piercing or tracer; firearms must be unloaded and pointed downrange when not firing; shooting from designated stations into the embankment at stationary targets; shotguns with no. 4 shot or smaller for clay targets; all trash must be removed.
