Range Description
The Elk River Sportsman's Club, established in 1946, is a private shooting range located within the city limits of Elk River, Minnesota. Spanning an impressive 304.71 acres, the club offers a diverse range of shooting facilities catering to various interests and skill levels. The club originally operated as the St. Louis Park Sportsman’s Club until it was relocated in 1962 due to the construction of I-35W. The current property was acquired for $25 per acre, totaling $7,600, and was renamed to its current title in 1997.
The facilities at the Elk River Sportsman's Club include a Pistol Range, Shotgun Ranges for Trap and Skeet, an Indoor Air Rifle range, Indoor Archery, 3D Archery, and KD Archery. Additionally, there are specialized ranges such as a 25/50 yard range, a 100 yard range, and a Known Distance (KD) range with distances extending up to 600 yards. This variety allows members to engage in different shooting disciplines and hone their skills in a safe and controlled environment.
