Range Description
Zack’s Sports operates the Vancouver Rifle and Pistol Club (VRPC), a distinguished shooting range that has been serving the community since its establishment on November 29, 1958. The club is uniquely positioned as a private facility, meaning it is not open to the public; only members and their guests can utilize the range. This exclusivity fosters a close-knit community of shooting enthusiasts who share a passion for firearms and marksmanship. The VRPC features a 50-foot indoor range equipped with 12 firing points, making it an ideal location for both novice and experienced shooters to practice their skills in a controlled environment. The club also hosts various organizations and groups, including Hunter Education, Bullseye Pistol, Cowboy Action, and the Young Marines, among others, providing a versatile space for different shooting disciplines. Membership at VRPC is accessible to any United States citizen or legal resident who can legally own a firearm. The one-time registration fee is $80.00, with annual dues set at $130.00, or $100.00 for seniors over 62. Membership is inclusive of the primary member's household, allowing spouses and children to participate under one membership, provided they are accompanied by the primary member or have their own access card. The club has specific rules regarding ammunition, favoring full jacketed ammo while prohibiting armor-piercing and incendiary types. Safety is paramount, with strict guidelines on shooting distances and the requirement for eye and ear protection. VRPC is open year-round from 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM, providing ample opportunity for members to practice. The club's atmosphere is welcoming yet focused, catering to a diverse audience from beginners to seasoned shooters, ensuring everyone can enhance their skills in a safe and supportive environment. With its rich history and commitment to safety and community, VRPC stands out as a premier destination for shooting sports enthusiasts.
