Range Description
Take Aim Training Range, established in 2008 by Stony Rushing and Anne-Marie Rushing, is dedicated to providing affordable and practical firearms training for individuals of all ages. The range is located on a sprawling 50-acre facility in Pageland, SC, featuring outdoor pistol, rifle, skeet, and trap ranges. The facility is designed to cater to both beginners and experienced shooters, making it a welcoming environment for everyone interested in firearms. The Rushing family has a deep commitment to maintaining and improving the range, especially following the loss of Stony in August 2023 to leukemia. His vision and dedication to the shooting community continue to inspire the operations of Take Aim Training Range.
The range offers a variety of training courses, including concealed carry permits, hunter safety, and NRA courses, all taught by qualified instructors. This focus on education ensures that all participants receive comprehensive training in firearms safety and handling. The facility also provides firearms sales, assisting first-time buyers in selecting the right gun and offering competitive prices on both new and used firearms.
While the rifle range is members-only on weekends, guests are welcome at the pistol ranges and skeet fields, making it accessible for casual shooters. The range operates with specific rules, such as requiring eye and ear protection, which underscores its commitment to safety. The hours of operation are convenient, with the range open Tuesday through Friday from 11 AM to 5 PM, Saturday from 9 AM to 5 PM, and Sunday from 1 PM to 5 PM.
Take Aim Training Range is not just a shooting facility; it's a community hub for firearm enthusiasts. The atmosphere is friendly and supportive, making it an ideal place for individuals looking to enhance their shooting skills or simply enjoy a day at the range. With its focus on safety, education, and community, Take Aim Training Range stands out as a premier destination for firearms training and shooting sports in the region.
